Escape the British weather to enjoy sun, good food, an exotic culture and environment and daily sessions of yoga at an award-winning, comfortable, sustainably-run traditional guest house in an ancient walled market town nestled in the fertile Souss Valley between the High Atlas and the parched Anti-Atlas bordering the Sahara and an hour’s drive from the coast in Southern Morocco.

An authentic Moroccan house with 9 bedrooms and roof terraces, our well-equipped base has been known as La Maison Anglaise by the locals ever since they opened it as a guest house in 1996.

Situated in a quiet neighbourhood of the Taroudant medina (the settlement inside the ancient walls), it is just 10 minutes’ walk from Taroudant’s famous markets. Sustainably managed and certified by Green Key, they are pioneers in responsible and sustainable tourism in Morocco.

And most important of all: you will be looked after by their exceptional staff!
